Device pairing connects your mobile app to your VS Code instance through the Gateway.
QR Code Pairing
The fastest way to pair:
- Open MiraBridge in VS Code
- Open the command palette and run MiraBridge: Show Pairing QR Code
- Open the mobile app and tap Pair Device
- Scan the QR code with your camera
The devices are now linked. All sessions sync in real-time.
Multi-Device Support
You can pair multiple devices — for example, your phone and tablet. The Gateway tracks all connected devices in its device registry and delivers messages to each one.
Troubleshooting Pairing
If pairing fails:
- Ensure both devices are on the internet (they do not need to be on the same network)
- Check that you are signed in with the same account on both devices
- Verify the Gateway connection status on both clients
- Try generating a new QR code
